Artemis’ Story

Artemis was a spayed stray cat on the streets. Her caretaker noticed something was wrong when she was limping.

Her caretaker brought her to Feral Cat Coalition where they assessed her. FCC took some rads of her leg and they found that it was severely broken.

After further evaluation, we moved forward and tried to save her leg! An FCC transporter rushed her to Veterinary Specialty Hospital where she was put under, and surgery started immediately.

During surgery, the surgeon noted that it was an old break and nerves were already wrapped around it. The surgeon had to take extra care to ensure the surgery was a success to try saving her leg.

After some time, the surgery WAS a success!

Artemis is now recovering at a foster home with intensive physical therapy. In a couple of months, we hope she’ll be ready for adoption! But we still need your help!

Her surgery cost was around $2,020. Please consider donating to help fund her medical care, no amount is too small. With your generous donation, together we’re able to reduce animal suffering.
